Last Saturday, the typhoon forced me to postpone the long-prepared Open House. Personally I feel bad about canceling it, but I can’t continue on with it if everyone can’t go out of their houses right? After announcing, I wasn’t really expecting anyone except a couple of friends. So I sat inside the shop munching on the can’t-cancel order of barbeques while the rain was having its mood swings. Almost to late afternoon, to my surprise a couple of people came down the shop to check it out despite the harsh weather. We hung out over cold barbeques and some beer. Amazingly, the day turned out great. I was really inspired and honored that someone is actually a good follower of this blog. I guess a bad day can turn into something good after all. As cheesy as these next few words I’ll say, I find it very true, there is always a good thing or let’s say a reason to whatever is happening. You just have to keep your cool, move on and look at it in a different perspective.
Enough of this drama though, this coming Friday, July 27, 2012 the postponed Open House will happen! We will now have it from 6pm-9pm to accommodate everyone who will come from schools and offices. Oh and, I’ll be honest, we just finished our food budget (word of advice, if you’re doing a low budget event, stir out of food), so it’ll just be free beer until supplies last the whole evening. However, we will make sure we have lots of liquid while SuperMikki and DJ Cmart handle the tunes. We have that covered.
